Warranty Information - Under Part Maintenance

Thanks for the info. I also called Epicor, and support said you need
field service. But what was confusing, is in my training database for
4.0 it is available to use. According to support there was a bug, that
will allow me to use this feature, but when I get to 5.1 it will cause
me problems since I do not have field service.

I guess I will use a vb form.

We never used the warranty drop down box in Vantage before. But we are
trying to use this feature now. But how do you add the codes? When I
clock on the drop down box, only unused is available. Then I get an
error security control information is missing. Do I need the field
service module for this option or is something wrong under company
security?

On Vantage 5.0 from an account with Security Manager privs, I get the
Warranty combo-box in part maintenance, with "add" and "unused"
options. But I can't find a plain warranty code maintenance screen
anywhere. The warranty combo-box is greyed out in product group maintenance.

I suspect you have to have the field service module to use it, and it's an
oversight that it's available in part maintenance. Also, searching the
help file suggests it's part of F.S.
