Mike, no, unfortunately Code128 is completely different with checksum digits included. Crystal does have a 3rd party plug-in, however. Google “idautomation”

Has anyone incorporated Code128 barcodes using Wasp Barcode Maker
software with Crystal Reports? Is there a formula involved or just
change the text box font to Code128 ? For instance for Code 3 of 9 we
need to add asterisks at the beginning and at the end.

Hello,

We are implementing Kronos for our labour capture and it needs to use code 128 bar codes, not the epicor bar 39 ones - is this possible?

Regards,

Michael

Vantage 8.03.406
I think you just need to change the bar code font and change the formulas in
crystal a bit.

You might have to buy an add-on for code 128 from somewhere.

Can I ask why you dont want to change to PDF417 2D code? It's far better in my
opinion.

Hi Chris, its actually Michael from NOV at Gateshead.

We have to use code 128 as that is what Kronos is using, or so I'm told.

Code 39 does not support special characters and we are wanting to use the half pipe symbol between bar codes.

Hi

Have a look at this ...

http://www.barcodeisland.com/code39.phtml

At the bottom, if you set your scanners to support full ascii, you should be
able to get your half pipe (assuming that a | is a half pipe).

I think when you allow full ascii, it enable the 128 ascii characters.

That might be a load of rubbish but it kinda makes sense to me (although I have
been staring at Crystal designer ALL DAY! :-)

Hi Michael

Who looks after/supplied your Kronos?

Is it a local company?

We are looking for something new at the minute.

Would be be ok for our Payroll dept to contact someone there to discuss Kronos?

Thanks.

Hi

We have Pegasus Payroll and we are happy with it, it is just the t&a software
and clocking device that we need to source.

We looked very briefly at the Epicor Payroll but it needed so many tweaks to
work like our existing one that we thought we would just stick to what we know.
