Web application integration with Vantage

Thanks Jeremy,

When you send the data to Progress from SQL Server are you putting it
in IM tables or are you able to go directly into Vantage?

Thanks,

Ben

Since you have SQL Server you can setup a Linked Server to Progress and
send/receive data that way. Keeps you in teh microsoft world for the
most part. We use this method.

Just a thought,
Jeremy

Subject: [Vantage] Web application integration with Vantage

Hi everyone,
I am in the process of integrating a web application that we use to
receive sample requests with Vantage. I was wondering if anyone here has
done anything similar? I have talked to the guys at Epicor about this
and they said it is possible but don't know of anyone that has actually
done it.

I have done some testing with taking some of the data that goes into our
SQL Server database from the sample request form and exporting it into
the Intermediary tables in Vantage.

Has anyone here successfully integrated a web based application with
Vantage? If so what were the major hurdles you ran into?

I appreciate any comments,
Ben Densmore
