Web Services on 64 bit Windows Server 2003

Thank you. That makes me feel a little better. We just went live with
our Service Connect yesterday and I was afraid I was not going to be
able to make it work on the new server.

I was using SC 8.2 and Vantage 8.03.403. The error message that we
got was the same as yours, regarding the WSE 3 not being installed.
We had some other issues with our .net not being installed properly
for 32 bit but other than that, all we needed was the 64bit version of
the webservices executable.

I did the aspnet_regiis.exe -I to install .Net. When I run regsvr32
aspnet_isapi.dll I get the following message:

Aspnet_isapi.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer
entry point was not found.

The file cannot be registered.

This is with version v.2.0.50727 under the Framework64 folder. I also
tried running IIS 6.0 in 32 bit mode and installing and registering
under the normal Framework folder. I get the same message when I
attempt to register aspnet_isapi.dll. I have searched on the internet
for the resolution to this but have not found anything helpful. Any
ideas?

After 2 days of trying with a consultant from one of Epicor's reseller's, we
couldn't get Web Services working on our Windows 64-bit server. The
reseller's consultant said to call Epicor support. We moved on to other
projects and haven't had the time to come back to this one yet.

However, we did get past the error you are having. We called support and
they sent us an updated "WS-Configuration (.Net 2.0 Edition).exe" that is
compatible with 64-bit Windows.

We had this exact same problem. I called support and they got it
working properly. You have to have your IIS running in 32bit mode and
also, in order to run WS-Configuration (.Net 2.0 Edition).exe you have
to have to 64bit version of that executable. Support emailed me this
file, and i replaced it with the one that was in there (32bit). After
that, it worked fine. I have this file if you want me to email it to
you to try out.
