Hello,
I am opening the base layer of Customer Shipment Entry.
I open a shipment and them click the 3 horizontal dots for the menu. I get this.
When I create a layer from this, without making any changes, I get this:
Please note that the drop-down options are different for some reason.
Can anyone explain how I get the fresh customization layer to show the correct drop-down options of the base layer?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Is that second image from Preview mode?
Makes sense you can’t make personalizations based on a layer in preview… nor get to App Studio from a preview.
If you publish and deploy that layer, those options should return.
Where would that binding be?
If I can compare to the clean copy, maybe I can fix the original layer so I don’t have to rebuild.

Well, I can’t believe it.
That fixed the issue.
Any ideas on how that randomly happened?
I promise I didn’t go in there and delete it out.
No one else in the company does customizations.
I appreciate your quick answers, it just saved me the extra work of rebuilding it.
Its an unfortunate, WAY TOO COMMON bug. It happens sporadically. I’ve never been able to reproduce it at will.
Just search the forum for “Page Binding” and you’ll probably see a ton of threads linked to that pesky bug, talking about missing (+) / new icons or not able to add attachments, etc. Its been happening off and on since at least 2024.
Once you know about it, its just a nuisance to repair. But if you’re not aware of it, it can have you chasing things for hours trying to find the problem.
Guess I fell into the chasing it for hours category…
Now that I now, I will try not to forget that this is the fix.

A few. Some are very rude to say.
I have seen this either after an upgrade or moving the custom to a new environment.
A really common one is where the add button goes missing on detail pages Receipt Entry or AR invoice.
