WhereClause Wildcards

Great, thanks a lot.

I tried MATCHES without the wildcards and didn't get anything.

Your suggestion did the trick.

Thanks again!
Ross

I am trying to use a wildcard in a whereclause and am not getting anywhere.

This is to query the userfile and return a record if the user is a part of a
specific security group. The grouplist field looks like this:
'group1~group2~group3'.

I am trying to use the following string:

Dim UserName As String = JobAdjustmentForm.Session.UserID

Dim GroupName = "group2" (e.g. for example)

Dim whereClause As String = "dcduserid = '" & UserName & "' AND grouplist
LIKE '*" & GroupName & "*'"

This gives me this error.

Invalid query:

where dcduserid = 'DLWOODRU' AND grouplist LIKE '*PRICE*' BY Name.

It seems to add 'BY NAME' to the end. I have tried an equals sign among
others. It will not return a match.

Has anyone been able to get this to work?

Thanks,

Ross
