Thankyou for all of your answers on the topic, it has been enlightening.<br/>
Thanks in particular for the hyperlinks, I think I now pretty much<br/>
understand all the options.<br/>

And, if you&#39;re interested, I think I&#39;ll be sticking with RAID 1, Mirroring.<br/>
We currently have this set-up with just 2x9Gb.  A local hardware supplier<br/>
took offence when I said I&#39;d have to read up on his reccomendation to go<br/>
with RAID 4... he seems to think Mirroring is &quot;a poor man&#39;s RAID&quot; - I think<br/>
he&#39;s seeing it only from the technical side, i.e. it&#39;s not the cleverest<br/>
form of RAID.<br/>

Thanks also to Dan for the information in regards to Progress.  I never knew<br/>
that they expected Mirroring and Duplexing.  Seems a bit OTT...<br/>
