I've wondered how that could be done ever since we started on Vantage. On our old main frame I set up the UNIX menu script to record BOJ and EOJ times when a user accessed a program thru the menu. We used that log often. It told us what users were accessing what programs and was used as proof that a user did (or didn't) run a program. It didn't tell us what the employee did in the program and was never intended to. I've filed away Brad's solution, maybe someday I'll have time to play with the idea. My thanks also, Brad!

Subject: [Vantage] Re: Which user did what?

Sreejith,
We had DotNetIT create a custom business object that logs each instance of a new menu item into a table. Items logged include userid, date/time and menuid. We wrote an SSRS report with flexible parameters to query the information logged.
It's actually quite valuable to know what parts of the system are being used and those that are not, and by whom. We have found many unanticipated uses for the information.
Note that it does not log the length of time spent in the activity, nor does it log any details about what was done after the form, tracker or report was started. If this is the level of information you need and would like to know more, send me an email.
Thanks,
Brad

Friends;
Being an ERP Administrator is it possible to know which user did what on a daily basis.
I prefer to prepare a report where I could come to know the daily activity of the users.ÂÂ
Hope to receive a help at the earliest possible.

Sreejith
