Who firmed the job?

Hi,

Is there a field in Epicor SQL database that gives me the information of the person who firmed the job?

Jay

Create a Change Log on the JobHead table, and track changes to the JobFirmed field (when firm changes from False to True). Then in the change log, you will see who did the firming. You can do the same for the JobReleased field.
Care should be taken here… dont log everything for jobs… only log for Firm jobs, because MRP does lots of activity for unfirm jobs, and you can end up creating huge changelog tables.

Is it possible to query the database to get the change log data because we have the log already turned on.

Query the ice.chglog table

SELECT *
FROM ice.ChgLog cl
where TableName = “INSERT THE TABLE NAME YOU HAVE THE CHANGE LOG ON”

For example

SELECT *
FROM ice.ChgLog cl
where TableName = ‘JobHead’

as @utaylor said, yes you can… and I have been known to create a dashboard that has a tracker view where you can type in the table and a date range to see all changes against said table… I also allow filtering by UserID in the tracker… this way if I have suspicious activity by a user, I can run it wide open for that UserID to see everything they did during a certain period.
