Ok, I am lost on this. Our system is saying to create jobs for a part and I’ve no idea why. Also the jobs look odd as there is no detail i.e. no ops or materials:

I think I have found the solution. Someone has been playing with a part and set vales in the Lot size on Part > Site > Planning
EDIT - Nope. Weird jobs still persist.
Is the part set up as a manufactured part or a purchased part? Is the Use Rev checkbox checked?
Jobs 326, 426, 328, and 526 are the ones requiring the part. What do they look like?
Hi Beth. Use part rev is checked and it’s manufactured at part detail & site
Hi Jeff,
I’ve run MRP since the earlier screen shots so the job number’s have changed but the part looks good for the new job numbers
Do you manufacture this part or is it a material you purchase?
Its a manufactured part. I checked that for both Part > Detail & Part > Site
Hi Matt,
So the part you are manufacturing is part number 516-008-006-OPT. The first material in the BOM for manufacturing it is part number 516-008-006. These are two different part numbers. Do you buy part number 516-008-006?
Beth
516-008-006 is manufactured. We use pull & view as assembly to ensure only 1 job is created for a sales order. There are 32 similar jobs in the system we’re looking at with the BOMs being built the same way but just this one part wants to generate it’s own jobs. Checked min on hand and all zero.
The only reason I keep asking about it is that in the method, the icon is showing as a material tag:

Are the other items below MTL 10 purchased or are they manufactured?
Hi Beth,
I see where you’re going now. That part should show as a ASM icon if manufactured (or that’s we’ve been doing for everything else). I will ask engineering to review.
Cheers Matt
And that was it Beth.
We had a manufactured part listed as material without pull & view as assembly. Also ran a BAQ to capture manufactured parts without pull & view set and also purchased parts with pull & view. Found 16 parts in total that needed tweaking.
Thanks again
Happy to help, Matt! I know how frustrating it can be. Have a great day!
Beth
