Windows ME on Progress 9.1A

I agree! my nick-name for it is Windows "Choke" ME... but my customers use
it... so I need to find a fix. :-(

Epicor doesn't support Win ME, period.

Just checked web site, and couldn't find it. But for the last few months
there's been a statement up saying something like "Windows ME is intended
to be a home op. sys. Its networking has proven to be too flaky for
commercial client / server apps. It is not supported nor recommended for
Vantage clients."

From everything I've heard about it, I avoid ME like the plague. And stay
away from '98 as much as possible.

Windows ME does not work on Progress 9.1A, the revision that Vantage 5.0
uses. Progress says that it is not supported on Rev 9.1A but it is on Rev.
9.1B. Vantage is not supported on Ver. 9.1B at this time. If anyone is
planning on upgrading to Vantage 5.0 make sure you have alternate plans if
you have any Windows ME PC's until Vantage upgrades to Progress 9.1B.

If anyone has been successful using Windows ME on Version 5.0... let us all
know...

Thanks,
