That's what we've done. What's frustrating is that the behavior has changed
since .30X. Oh, well. We only have to add six internal sales people to 90+
distributors!!! Argh!!!

I find adding actual users to authorization lists a bad idea. Like the rest
of Vantage security, we should be able to have authorization groups and the
primary sales agent should NOT have to be authorized explicitly.

We are currently running on 8.03.404. When we try to create Task Lists
in Task Set Application, none of our Workforce shows up in the list
when we try to enter through Workforce Search button. When we try to
enter the Workforce IDs system says "Record Not Found". However if we
go through Setup/Work Force we are able to see our employees. Did
anyone have this problem before? Or anyone have an idea what is going on?

Well I figured out what our problem was. I was not able to pull up any employee because we did not have Authorized User assigned to them.

We are having a similar issue. Since upgrading to 404, the security handling
of Workforce members and task maintenance and Opportunity/Quote maintenance
has been frustrating.

If we assign an authorized user to a workforce then we are able to do Task
Maintenance (add, changed owner, complete, etc) but then we don't have
access to the quotes. This even happens to MANAGER where the View All
Territories is enabled! This was NOT the behavior prior to 40X.

As a back-grounder, we sell through distributors. We create a territory and
assign the distributor to the territory. Our inside sales people manage all
territories, can enter opportunities/quotes/orders on behalf of the reps. We
have dozens of distributors and I'm wondering if we're going to have to
enter each inside sales person as an authorized user to every distributor's
work force...
