XP client install

Are you sure you are an Administrator for the local PC. I always set myself
up as an Administrator for the PC, as well as being an Administrator for the
network (domain). Look under Control Panel - Admin Tools - Computer
Mangagement - Users and Groups (I think).

Try pinging something, I'll be you can't. Cached profiles come in when it
can't see the network. Check all you network settings. If it is DHCP do a
release and renew of the ip.

Hello all! I finally got 3 new workstations! Yea! They will go to
Engineering. They are XP Pro's so I am having a slight learning
curve of my own. I am not able to install the Vantage client: "Could
not initialize installation C:\windows\~GLC0000.temp." This could be
stemming from another message I am getting. First of all, I have
loaded the Novell client for XP and set up the NT server in the
domain area. I can see both servers through My Computer, so I know I
am connected. When I am logging in after startup, I get a message
saying: "User Environment: Windows cannot locate the server copy of
your roaming profile and is attempting to log you on with your local
profile". I am sure that I have administrator rights. Do you know
of anything else that I could be overlooking?? Thank you!

Are you running the Vantage programs from a Novell file server or the NT Server?
