Hey everyone… we had a few controlled release candidates fall out this go-around, and we have a few more openings for companies who want to have early access to the Kinetic 2025.1 product during a controlled release process.
If you are interested, here are a few things you should know:
candidates can either be IN THE CLOUD, or On PREM
if on prem, you should be on a recent version of Kinetic (2023.2 or beyond), and be willing to install and upgrade your data to Kinetic 2025.1
You should be willing to participate in validating your customizations and processes with the new version, as well as participate in weekly meetings.
If you desire to be considered as a candidate, scan this QR Code, and populate the email that it generates with the requested information:
Tim - Do we need to run our business on the CR? Or just be able to create a test environment and have it available for our power users? (Warning - they are very passionate about getting an efficient UI! I’m already hearing a lot about inefficiency using some of the Kinetic screens!)
We just upgraded to 2024.2 this past weekend (went smoothly!).
Also - What’s the link? Is there an easy way to open a QR code on a desktop internet browser, like Chrome?
the qr code simply generates an email to ME (tshoemaker@epicor.com) and it has a few “fields” to fill out:
company name
your name
email
Cloud or OnPrem
if on prem: what version
for the process, since you are on-prem, you would be able to download a copy of the 2025.1 release, and then copy whatever data you want to use into a test environment… You would then upgrade that environment to 2025.1, and start your power users using the system after it is upgraded with YOUR customizations to make sure that they come over correctly.
If you want to participate, follow instructions above, and we will send you more details.
QR should be like barcode, just text in a font that’s not (most) human readable.
Copy the QR image, paste in something like https://qrscanner.net/ to get the text. If going at it thataway, best to format an email exactly like it’s suggesting. mailto: type links often get paired to email rules or searches looking for that particular text.
Controlled Release has been extended to the week following insights, and the GA date is in June (actual date depends on if you are in the cloud, international cloud, or on-prem.
