Anyone using the Epicor Automation Tool

Oh heck yes!!! Exactly my POV as well. I like layered testing.
The first layer to exercise the simple data exchange. Think Postman and it’s ability to execute queries as ‘integration unit test’
Higher level to automate the UI

A layered approach is good I do agree, but having a tool for those smaller shops where you are not just the ERP admin, it allows you to get all your testing together in one place and be able to repeat the tests against your test upgrade environment. Making it simpler and easier in to keep pace with the constant roll out of updates.
Personally in the current environment I am working the EAT would be a god send.

I hope that one day Epicor see fit to just include it in or bundle it with DMT.

Any more detailed demonstrations/videos you could provide would be very useful indeed.

I will dabble in it until Insights. We want to determine if ATE can be one tool to streamline regression testing for patch and release updates… [/quote]

I’d love to hear your feed back once you’ve done more dabbling with ATE. We too wanted to use it to streamline patch testing so we could patch more often.

I also agree a layered approach is best. Couple ATE with real user testing focused on a few key areas as an example.
