I would probably enter a ticket for this with support as this seems to me to be a lapse in functionality that they need to know about - if it’s a bug it’ll get fixed. If it’s not a bug, a lot of folks here need to understand that this is the intended behavior. We’ve not gotten to this point, but are moving towards it and this will be an issue.
Also - as a workaround - a quick BPM based on @gpayne’s comment on this thread Attaching Back to Kinetic may be your interim answer.
