ECM for Packing Slips?

Thanks. No license needed for plaintext OCR, correct? Like label with RcvDtl: SysRowID in bottom left zone of page can be done out of box?

I have only used barcodes, I haven’t used the OCR plaintext. @vleveris , do you know?

OCR in the ECM Client is also a licensed feature - but it may come with the base system license - that would have to answered by your CAM.

If the field to capture is in a static location, the OCR capture if ECM can be set on a certain field location. Other ways, if the document is named Packslip 12345, you could split the packslip field from the document name since the default file name is imported as the Description field.

Can be done yes, but for the couple of hundred the barcode license costs without it will have some misses. I made my print as large as possible and still get the common ocr issues like 0/o, l/1, etc that fail. On a pack slip number is is fairly easy to manually adjust those. On a guid it would be interesting.

I bought the barcode module after seeing @utaylor presentation, but have not have time to get it in place.

Think everyone has covered this now, but as others have said the Barcode Licence is relatively inexpensive and a lot more accurate than plain text.
