Rest assured, these are only used for production. My test servers are in their own domain (teampti.dev) and they have Let’s Encrypt certs that auto renew every 90 days into a Key Vault. Then I use Azure Arc to install them them into the test servers. Soooo, I’m ready for the future. FWIW, the .dev domain is owned by Google and HSTS is automatically enabled for the entire TLD, so it has to use a trusted cert. It costs me less than $1 USD/month for three Hyper-V dev servers.
