Joe,
I have a bunch of “starter†code snippets I saved off if you want to look at some simple syntax as well.

Thank Calvin.
I’m off to take a look.
I certainly wouldn’t expect a miracle. I remember using the converter for VB.Net to C# and even that wasn’t perfect but anything is helpful. :)

Joe & everyone –
Epicor has a converter tool that is on EpicWeb for converting ABL to C#. While no language translator is perfect it will get you started.
Thank you in advance,
Calvin Dekker

So…I know that “yes†was to having to rewrite everything (except BAQs) from scratch but is there no conversion tool at all for converting ABL code to C#?
We have method directives, data directives, customer .p files, and configurators that will need to be converted and I’m just trying to gauge what the workload will look like for conversion.
When you say, except BAQs does that include calculated fields or do those need to be rewritten too?
What about UI customization written in C#. Do those basically just work or is there a considerable amount of work needed there? Are there significant changes to method call parameters, control GUIDs, and BO’s in general?
