V8 and E9 are so very similar that there's a lot of crossover, and there aren't that may E9 customers out there yet.

>Joe,There's really 2 ways you can look at E9. Either as client based - Smart Client - or browser based - Epicor Web Access (EWA). If you looked at E9 Smart Client it will look identical to Version 8. Not much visually has changed with that. I do not see much difference technically either with this. You can read the Hardware Config Guide, but read with caution. The requirements listed pretty much point to 64bit servers, but state that it can run on 32 or 64. We have loaded it on both 64 and 32. As a matter of fact, we have most of it running on 64bit (Linux and Windows), but needed to keep a single Win2003 server running just for Crystal. It is needed for printing and we tried loading it on Win2008 64, but it failed. Support had us keep it on the Win2003 server....
> I'm looking for some help in finding out who is actually live running Epicor 9. We are looking for references. We are also currently running Vantage 6.1 on Progress. Our Sales rep has gone from telling us that they originally had 30-40 customers live a month ago. Late last week he change his tune telling us that they have 10-15 customers. At this time, He hasn't given me any references yet either.

We are going to Epicor Perspectives in Vegas. I here a lot of chatter regarding 9. I thought this platform was not available till then. How is it some members are already using it. Did I miss something?
