Fine I’ll conceed the point but only on a technicallity. I manage the entire life cycle including the OS patching I’m not calling that SaaS

maybe… IaaS… maybe…
Also not wrong as a SaaS admin sometimes, being paired with a sysadmin who isn’t allowed to talk to you. They mostly make major changes at night. Mostly.
Never let go.

Thats weird, our On Premis environment was going to cost us TONS more and the cloud was so much less thats why we moved to it. Would have much rathered stayed but the cost was so much more.
Really? I’ve never heard of Epicor SaaS being cheaper.
How long of a contract were you looking at? Cloud cost hasn’t exactly stood still for us ![]()

For what some talk about paying I can buy servers and run Epicor for a long time.
Absolutely it was a cost savings for us to move to the Cloud
Interesting. Not usually what you hear.
You either talked to an idiot, or a straight up liar.
Sounds like it was back in the day.
Its still a lie tho, we were on MT and they were able to separate us out to move us to public cloud..
Not necessarily…

I missed where you said that. Interesting. So they have the tool to do it or you weren’t in a shared dB even though it was MT?
I’m not sure what they used, it was some kind of script and it didn’t work right the first time, stuff was missing.
We were definitely shared, I saw other peoples stuff sometimes cough In case you wonder how well that worked..
I don’t know if they have a tool, or it was more manual, but basically they separate ny CompanyID.
I’ll second what @Evan_Purdy said. Last company I was at we started out as MT for the first couple of years and then moved over to Public Cloud (DT).
Not surprised. I don’t trust their security that much.
