Probably because that was done in the wild wild west of 2021.1.
I think the override is introduced in 2024.1, so if you’re on an in between version, create (or copy if there are other systemic things happening) and set the trigger to Event/Before/OriginalEventName and then pop an Exit at the end to terminate it so it doesn’t run the original.
