I remember we had this happen to us a couple times. Had something to do with PMs new to Epicor not setting up the job right initially (I think with job parts not real parts).
There are some rebuild processes that might fix it… Refresh Part Quantities and Allocations, Refresh Order Release Qty.
Maybe some conversion workbench fix… not sure. Eg JCFixOrphanPartWip
Below posts may help..
I wanted to put this out here as a PSA to provide closure to this topic just in case it helps someone else along the way.
I don’t know all the tweaks made to MRP in this version - but EpicCare basically said they couldn’t help us with our problem and the only solution was to upgrade - at least to 10.2.700. I won’t get into the details - but we were not able to upgrade at least for a month or two because we need updates to our server.
So I kept asking questions and poking and prodding and event…
I have a part that shows Total Demand quantity of 88 in Part Tracker, but running a query on all open jobs with material shows a demand of 94, and then the Time Phase shows a demand of 98. The difference between Time Phase and the query is due to job 300152-1-1 having partial shipped, using qty 4. I can’t find why the other 6 pieces aren’t being picked up in the Part Tracker, however. All other columns in the Part Tracker are 0.

I have a part that is generating false demand. The work order that is showing up in demand is a closed work order that has been issued complete. I’m not sure why this is happening and I can’t figure it out. I queried it, checked time phase, and also reviewed the part setup but nothing is looks out of the ordinary. Anyone have know what may be triggering this?
