Yep
Yes, the implementation isnāt as good. What Iām saying is they could of spent the time on Index optimizations instead.
Agreed - if my query is really written like crud then donāt let it save/run in the first placeā¦even better, help me optimize it during development.
I heard from @pferrington (safe harbor) that it is disabled for the time being in GA and he heard our concerns, they may not remove it, but they may make it configurable so you can turn it on/off and it should use our own emails and the template should be in MessageTemplates etc⦠Anyways there is plenty of notes in this thread.
Thanks everyone for your input.
Before I started here, they actually had Epicor create a number of BAQ SSRS reports. You want to talk about long running, poorly constructed BAQās!!! They grabbed every detail record, and then used Max aggregates in the SSRS report for summary reporting. with information pulling from 12 different tables and duplicate rows everywhere.
Iāve never seen anything like it in my life ~ and this was from āprofessional services.ā
Iām in the process of properly constructing one of the BAQs and transforming the report into a dashboard. Itās funny how they simply didnāt want to take the time to do it right, and just do it fast and without consideration for performance.
