So I am fairly new to Epicor and I am trying to get a better understanding. We are working on eliminating stock parts for main jobs and just manufacturing or purchasing parts per job.
We are looking to eliminate a shelf that currently has stocked parts. We are working on changing over all of these parts to non-stock parts. Although these are no longer stock parts we want to keep a minimum of 1 or 2 in a different parts order shelf.
Would you want the Safety Stock = 2, Max On-Hand = 2, and Min On-Hand = 0?
Or what would be the best way to monitor and maintain the set safety stock even though they are non-stock parts? Where is the suggestions for ordering these parts to replenish as well?
Any suggestions or ideas would help greatly!
