So, I have been eyeing 10.2 for a while and we are really due for an upgrade. Yet I want to be able to put 10.2 in a test type environment without upgrading my live environment. Is this possible? I’ve been told this would be a major upgrade so I can run both side by side, but would want 10.2 to be only in test environment and obviously not live.
Yeah just install it, and create a new App Serve r/ DB and Upgrade your DB into it.
I asked the same thing earlier, thread here:
I prefer/suggest to do testing on a separate server from production.
All our servers are virtualized so it’s easy for me, but I have a separate server with its own instance of SQL for testing.
I’ve installed 10.2 tonight on our test VM. I went from a 10.1.400.31 instance. I can login via HH, MES and CLASSIC switches, but the normal shell is just sat with a spinning wheel.
Anybody else upgraded a test box yet and had similar issues?
@markdamen I haven’t evens tarted yet. Been trying to gather info before I stepped out and did it. Issues like yours makes me want to wait for a bit and see how things are handled and how they go.
Hi Mark do you got it running, spinning wheel is probably due to not proper configured token authentication,
