2023.2.4 Bad Performance

We recently upgraded to 2023.2.4 and have noticed some pretty big performance impacts across all menus. Even just opening the System monitor can take 5 minutes. We have met with Estes and trying to get Epicor support, but nothing has worked so far. Has anyone else had issues? any new settings that we should be aware of?

That’s very odd we did not run into any new performance issues with 2023.2. Have you tried the usual performance solutions? IE: Updated statistic and index fragmentation or run the Performance Diagnostic Tool “Config Check”?

I’m sure they’ll want you to run the PDT (Performance Diagnostics Toos) and provide the log. Might as well get ahead of support and get that ready.

We upgraded from 2022.2 to 2023.2.9 in Feb, and didn’t notice any performance changes.

Which antivirus product are you using?

Are you on Prem? or “Cloud Hosted” Elsewhere?

We are hosted on prem. We found we were missing rpc compression flag for static types in the web config and added that in, as well as a reindex. That seemed to work on Saturday when we were testing it. Now on Monday we are seeing the bad performance again and the indexes are out of whack again.
we did run the PDT check and that seemed fine. support didnt have much to say about it.
One thing we did notice is when we ran epicor directly on the app server, we did not see any slow speeds.

Right cause the compression is a big help with distance
here’s a bunch of info about it

So this ended up being one of the main issues. The compression tag for Static Types fell off of our config files, but it was on the Dynamic Types which was odd. We also had a few issues indexing. That along with a mix of config changes to our network and Citrix got us back to a usable performance.
Thanks for all the input!
