Been hunting this one for most of day and have an issue since we upgraded from 2022.1.13 to 2023.2 on the weekend.
The issue:
Using the classic screen and you press the enter key to add a new line to a sales order the total does not change. Before the upgrade it did.
In 2022.1 this worked perfectly. Here is a list of scenarios I have tried.
In these situations, it does not work.
-
Tested in 2023.2 Education environment.
-
Tested in 2023.2 with our customisations.
-
Tested in 2023.2 with base and all bpms off.
-
Tested in 2024.1.6 Education environment.
In these situations, it does work:
-
Testing in one of our un-upgraded environments.
-
Testing in 2023.2 Education Kinetic Browser, it does work.
-
Testing in 2023.2 in an environment that has all of our classic customs and BPMs enabled using the Kinetic Browser (go figure it just works).
At this stage we are committed to sticking with the classic screens as we have not fully mapped out our plan to transition to the Kinetic UI (Browser).
A couple of interesting things to note:
-
We have the Insert key setup as a hot key for new line, and that does work. Removing it and just using Enter makes no difference.
-
If you enter the part number in on the new line and tab to the next field it does work.
I feel this is an undocumented feature (word “Bug” is too confronting for me to use, sorry), or I missed something in the release notes.
I have logged a case with Epicor and am awaiting some feedback. I am hoping that there is a problem that has been logged and I was just unable to find it through the ungooglesck search that is Epicare.
On the off chance anyone has seen this issue, and you made it this far :), please share.
Thanks
