407A - Order Entry

I looked at Job Manager before but forgot about it because it didn't seem to do much. Just now I realize that if you have it open and then open a sales order, the part you are looking at will automatically go into job manager, which makes it a bit more interesting. Also it reminds me that somehow the system is tracking these changes, so what for me would be really helpful is just to send some email that there is a change flag up. I guess that's gotta be easy...right? You'd think something like that would be a canned global alert or shop warning.

We entered an order into the system and created jobs but have the wrong
customer number on the order. Other then re-entering the order and
re-creating jobs do we have any other options for getting the correct
Customer Number set up on the order and job?

Blake, you should be able to delete the make to order line in the job and then when you add the new line bring in the correct sales order

I have a similar question also, if somebody has a good process when quantity gets changed or order lines are deleted after jobs created, if there is any good way to update the jobs?

You can use a manual procedure to have customer service notify planning about the changes or, use the planners workbench to identify changes to sales orders (changes to dates, quantities, etc, From there you can use Job Manager to update your changes (its not the most intuitive app so you have to decide for yourself the process you want to use to fit your environment, number of changes that occur, etc)
