Todd,
If you open a session of "Office Data Collection" on his machine it
should stay on and not time out.

I have had same situations. When we run a report via terminal session
and leave for the weekend the report takes too long and the session
times out and it never runs. We ended up setting the session timeouts to
a high number and haven't had the problem since. I just go in to the TS
Admin Console and logoff disconnected sessions that have a long idle
time.

Subject: [Vantage] [6.1] FRx Data Export & Vantage Timeout
For FRx users (on 6.1 in particular).....
My boss is exporting 5-6 years of G/L info for a year to year comparison
report. I am not sure if he has done this before. He knows it will take
a long time to run so starts the extract then locks his PC and goes
home. Twice now (Fri & Mon) it has quit with an error, part of which
reads "server timeout expired" which makes me suspicious his Vantage
session timed out due to perceived inactivity. We have the timeout set
to 4 hours.
Anyone else ever had an export crash due to the timout period kicking
in?
A workaround I will try tonight is to have him fire up the Office DC
screen before starting the export but wanted to maybe confirm that
timeout is a possible cause.
Thanks,
