This is a 6.1 related question. I am lining up investigation topics for Perspectives. Our CEO has spoken to employees who worked at another vantage site that was tracking WIP movements on the floor between operations using forklift mounted scanners, etc... Primary objective is to note where stuff got put if the next operation's machine is still busy with another job. My best guess is that this will require AMM for 6.1. Is there a way to record (using data collection ...aka, pre-MES) where stuff gets put without using AMM? Any reasons 8.x does any of this better than 6.1 so as to be worth waiting until we get to that version?
