8.03.4XX Labor Entry (End Activity)

I would like to setup a scenario in Labor Entry for "End Labor Activity.." I've added a checkbox to the "End Labor Activity" screen. Basically what I would like to happen is that when a user ends a labor activity with this checkbox being previously checked true, I would like to override the value that is being placed in the LaborDtl.BurdenHrs field with a calculation of my own. I seem to have gotten close attempting to use a customization, but Vantage seems to override my calculated field with its built in funcionality. Has anyone attemped to do something like this? Any thoughts on how this might be accomplished?
