A/P EFT Remittance

Here's an update for other Canadian Vantage Users...

Upon receipt of Julie's comments (Thanks Julie) I redirected my
efforts to create a crystal report (off the CheckHed table) that
generates either a domestic Canadian$ export file or a cross border
US$ export file. TD Canada Trust accepted both my test files, so I
don't need the delays or costs of custom programming. Now I can focus
on the other pieces of this project, such as controls, procedures and
getting bank account info from vendors.

the correct file format.

I'm trying to implement A/P EFT in Vantage 6.00.

Our bank insists on a file format that includes header and footer lines,
something that Bank Account's 3 electronic payment export formats
(generic, BTL91 or Clieop03) do not provide.

Is this a common issue in the US, or is it particular to Canadian banks
only?

What are your methods of creating an acceptable output file?

Steve:
Our bank also requires a specified file format. We tried using the CCD format (NACHA), but then because we had more addenda records (for invoice information) then the CCD could handle - we had to switch to the CTX format. We went thru Epicor's custom programming to create the correct file format.
It is working very well. (We're on 6.1)
Good luck!
