Richard,
I have an older Quantum Snap Server 2000. I had to do a OS upgrade to have
it recognize my Active Directory but in the Administration menu you need to
go to the Network settings and Microsoft Networking. In there have it join
you domain, be it an older NT or newer AD domain. Then go into Security,
Network Share. Set up a new share and in assigning Access to the share it
should see your domain and retrieve the existing users. Assign the users and
permissions you want.

Subject: [Vantage] Adaptec SnapServer 1100
Not Vantage I know but ....
Has anybody had success in introducing one of these devices onto a Windows
domain and then limiting access to folders on the device dependant upon a
users network username?
I know it should be/is feasible but I'm having problems in getting the
device to pick up user security settings from the domain.
Any advice/contact info gratefully received
Regards,
Richard
