Hello,

I need to add a UD table to the Project Entry screen in order to capture
additional data.

When reviewing an existing customization that I inherited it looks like
this was achieved by using the customization wizard to add a UD table.

There is a lot of code to add, edit, undo, clear, and delete rows from
the UD table it is mostly done through adapters.

It works fairly well but, not having done this before, it seems like
"too much" code.

Isn't this what adding a "Foreign Key View" designed for? Too add
additional tables to the dataview without code.

Am I over simplifying this or would a Foreign Key View work just as well
as all the code?

A foreign key view all by itself is more like a 'read only' tool. To
actually edit a table outside the native transactional dataset does take
a bit more code. Without having seen your code it's hard to say whether
or not it was written in the most efficient manner or not..

Thanks Rob.

I wasn't able to add a foreign key view for a UD table any way...or so
it seems.

I think the code is fine as is, I was just hoping to move away from code
if the foreign key view did the same thing.
