Add BAQ Report as a report style

Thank to both of you – I was hoping maybe there’s something I’m missing, as it seems like such basic functionality.

The data definitions were intentionally dumped due to being excessively slow.

Have a nice day,

Andrei

As far as I know, this is not possible.

You must modify a copy of the original Job Traveler Report Data
Definition and only then can you make a new Report Style to use your new
Report Data Definition.

Subject: [Vantage] Add BAQ Report as a report style

Hello,

How can I set a BAQ Report to act as a report style for a standard
form ?

i.e I made a BAQ report that replaces the Job Traveler - I'd like to
print this from the prin Job Traveler menu, how would this work?

I've tried copying the settings from the BAQ Report as shown in the
report style program, into the report style entry of the standard form,
but this didn't work. Perhaps I need to add it as Custom and run a
particular .p ?

Thanks

I'll assume you are on 8.03

First a warning. Do not replace the Standard report style or point it to a new report definition, you'll regret it the next time you upgrade.

Step 1. Create a new report and save it in the reports directory on the server.

Step 2. In System Management under Company Maintenance, open Report Maintenance.

Step 3. Find the Report ID you want to work with and open it. In your example it would be JobTrav.

Step 4. Add a new Report Style. Fill out the information for the new style and in the Company List grid Check the Valid and Default check boxes.

Step 5. Save the new report style, log out of Vantage and then back in. The new report style should now be set as the default.

How do you make a BAQ Report that uses legal paper?
Â
I created the report in BAQ Report Designer and set the paper size to be landscape and Legal paper size. It works fine while in Crystal Reports but not once the report is deployed.
It goes back to letter paper size and truncates all data pass 11 inches. Even if I change the paper size back to legal it will print the same thing on the legal paper with everything pass 11 inches blank.
Â
Test Report Form under BAQ Report Designer gives same issues.
Selecting the Report from the menu gives same issues.
Running the report in Crystal gives the correct info and prints correct.
Â
Thanks
Doug

I noticed this as well - in the Vantage Crystal runtime you can't go beyond 8.5"x11" which is seriously screwed up.

The only way I can get it to work is to have the users go into their default printer and set the default to use legal paper size. It does not use the Paper size from Crystal. This is a big pain for them to do each time and most of the time they forget to do so until later when going over the report they find that info is missing.
