Is it possible to place data found in a main module such as “AP Invoice Entry” and place it into a slide out menu found within that module? In this case the “Transfer Invoices to Another Group” slide out? My team wants to either place the “description” from entry into the slide out or the “variance” found on the main invoice entry screen prior to clicking into the invoice.
Thoughts on how to find this and make needed edits? Digging into App Studio only gets me so far.
Yes, the app-open widget allows you to pass a json array of key value pairs in through the %ValueIn% variable, that you can process on the side of the app receiving the app-open call.
You need to customize both sides, the base form needs a custom layer to send the values in the app open call, and call the customized layer on the receiving side.
The customized receiver needs to have an event that fires on Form_OnLoad that handles the %ValueIn%. it should be set up appropriately with conditions so that it doesn’t bail out if it doesn’t receive the expected %ValueIn% (not opened as a slideout)
