Add Quote To Project - Line by Line - Why...So....TEDIOUS!

Why can I only pull in a quote line by line?
I understand the need to select only certain lines but surely I can pull multiple lines in one go?

Is there a way to pull in the whole quote?

I’m testing this as we don’t currently use Projects - in my eyes I think it just failed already!

Our quotes are 50+ lines long and we would attach multiple multiple quotes to a project.

Thank You!

You can also add the project from Quote entry. Go to List mode on the lines and paste them in. Still gotta do it 50 times but that’s a lot faster than Add Quote.

How are you doing this? If you open the quote, put in the project ID then copy it. You will have to go to each line to paste it in. If you go to the grid view (Line > List), you can copy it to Excel. Then put in your Project ID and copy it to all rows. Once finished, select the entire spreadsheet, copy it and Paste Update it to the Quote Line grid sheet.

This has always been requested but never provided without a customization. You need to add the Project ID field to the Header and then use a BPM to fill in the Project ID on each of the quote lines when a quote line is created

Thanks Mark, I could see when searching this topic there were numerous threads about coding BPMs in this area - I was hoping those other users were trying to do something more exciting!

The paste insert the others mentioned work fine as well. If you are somewhat familiar with customizations adding the Project Field to the header with a BPM is relatively straightforward
