Add to existing Crystal Report

Before linking in new tables always check the Linked tables tab to see if the related information is already there. Linked tables provides many "look-ups" for key fields on a table. For example if a table has the customer id/num it usually has the look-up for customer related information. Same for things like serial numbers, part class, product group, etc. It doesn't eliminate the need to link tables completely but reduces it greatly. And these look-ups usually result in a bit tidier data-set.

Hello,

I'm trying to add a BAQ produced crystal report to the existing E9 provided traveler. BAQ contains customer/contract information. I've managed to produce the stand-alone report and have added into the traveler but no luck. Any info in the right direct is much appreciated. Thank you

Have you updated the Report Data Definition with the additional customer / contract relationship information?

1) For E9 Select System Management > Cumpany Maintenance > Report Data Definition (unsure of navigation in other versions)
2) Search & Find "JobTrav" (Assuming it has not already been modified)
3) Actions Duplicate the report with new name
4) Add the tables for Customer & Contract using New Table fuction.
5) Add New relationships to link Customer, Contract & Job same as you have through the BAQ stand alone report
6) Save the new report definition.
7) Open the report style menu from the company maintence menu above.
8) Search & Find Report sytle for Job Traveler and update report data definition to point to your new report data definition as defined in steps 1-6 above
