I’m trying to add more connections to our Pilot and Production databases for XL. The administration component of the documentation is a little light on for my liking.
I have scoured manuals, help epicweb and epicare and I am drawing a blank. Can someone point me in the right direction please. I did notice an old post from 2014 here saying it was dooable, but the detail is escaping me.
Yes you can create multiple connections to be pointing to different databases but ONLY ONE at the time will be currently getting the data.
Said in other words, you can create different profiles to select from which database you want to get XLC connected, but retrieving data from 1 database at the time
Open the XL Connect Content installer, select Manage Connections, and then when prompted you can change the ID from Default to be anything else, allowing to create multiple connections
