The problem is, I have been linking the shiphead to invcdtl to pull the tracking number, but that is not working.

Using the related table "PackNum" from the invoice to get the tracking
number is a bug in Epicor that's been around for a while. You'll have to
add the ShipHead table to the RDD and link it to the InvcDtl table.
In fact, this was the subject of one of my favorite arguments with Tech
Support, who said the "related tables" function in the RDD is not meant to
actually get data from those tables. Funny, I've been using the related
tables function from RDD's successfully since Vantage 8.00, it wasn't until
9.05 that Tech Support informed me I must've been smokin' something all
those years.

I have done this too. I get those fields (packnum_trackingnumber) to show in
the raw XML but they have no data with them.

Subject: [Vantage] Re: Adding Tracking Number to Invoice Form
I have always had a problem adding the shipHead table to a RDD.
1)Did you try selecting the InvcDtl table
2)then going to the Linked tab.
3)Once at the Linked tab, on the left side there should be a PackShip link
lookup (not sure that is the name doing this from memory).
4)Move the PackShip to the right, then select the field tab.
5)Select the PackShip in the drop down - this will populate the left columns
with all the fields in the PackShip Lookup.
6)Move the fields you need to the right. Tracking Number should be there
7)Save the RDD
8)Run to get sample data
9)Import into your report
10)Then under the InvcDtl table in the field selection for the report,
scroll to the bottom - you should see additional fields labeled
PackShip_fieldname.
11) add the PackShip_TrackingNumber to the report
That should work
