AFR Module @ Epcior 9.05

I had the same issue. Do you have AFR installed on the same server that your sql database/reporting services is installed on. If so, try and generate the report in AFR on that server and it will probably work. The reason is an entry in your afr installation directory on your server. Mine is F:\Epicor Software\AFR\LogonServer\Epicor.AFR.LogonServer.WinService.exe. You have to change the following lines (use notepad). Change "LocalHost" to the name of your server. When you try and run the report from a different computer it pulls the localhost info down instead of the server info and you get that error. I actually was able to schedule a webex session with a rep in Russia and she figured it out.

We purchased the AFR module for Epicor 9.05 and I was wondering if anyone has installed AFR and how long it took to install.

thanks in advance

Sylvia
Install and setup for the IT side is about 1-2 hours for AFR
As for replication server about 1 hour
Initial replication time takes about 8 hours on a 4 gig DB

AFR, as it is now, has no prebuilt reports. The first batch are not set to come out until sometime next year along with the FRx conversion utility. All reports must be built from scratch. I have no clue how long this takes, our controller is just getting started on it.

Sylvia,

I read Zac's comments with chagrin, having had an entirely different experience. I have booked over 25 hours to this job (AFR Install) so far, much of it trying to get Epicor support for the remaining issue which prevents the product from displaying a report.

The error is occurring when trying to preview an AFR report:

"Error connecting to logon server".
"The requested operation cannot be completed. The computer must be trusted for delegation and the current user account must be configured to allow delegation."

It seems AFR software development is in Moscow, and Epicor USA seem unable to support it themselves (yet).

My epicweb call has been escalated to Moscow and after 6 days they still seem unable or unwilling to pick it up.

In other news, it seems that after the final shuttle flight later this year, all resupply flights to the ISS will be Russian rockets.
Na sdorovje!
