Allocation in Epicor

Hi All,

Our company makes parts for making new trucks and also, make service parts for the trucks on the filed. We are one month into a launch and seeing some issues with material allocation. We allocate by date, so parts that were originally meant for the production of trucks released to the floor are being taken by sales order which calls for the same part. Now the truck which was released to the floor is waiting for parts. We share resources in manufacturing both types of parts and we share warehouses. When the jobs come to fulfillment workbench, we allocate based on dates. Is there any possible solution to make sure that materials are not taken by sales order. We make everything to stock, so the jobs are not easily distinguishable.
