Allocation Template Order

Hello, We are new to kinetic testing currently we have something which is currently added in our old version of epicor where certain warehouses are class as unpickable which means it is avoided when using the allocation template for orders how does this work in kinetic can you block warehouses from having stock allocated against it

I’m not sure what you mean by “Old”. Is this an older instance that is no longer active… or are you just talking about “Classic UI” vs “Kinetic UI”?

If you have Advanced Packaging Control, I think there is some functionality on the Warehouse level. In Warehouse Maint, you can make an entire warehouse a “hold” warehouse, and you also have some options on Warehouse Type (Quality, WIP, Stock).

Outside of Advanced Packaging Control… I don’t believe you can control this type of functionality on the Warehouse level.

But, you CAN set Warehouse Bins as “Non-Nettable”. I would look into that and see if that may suit your needs.

Field Help for {WhseBin.NonNettable}: Non Nettable

Specifies if inventory balances stored in this warehouse bin are considered non-nettable.

  • Select the check box if inventory balances stored in this warehouse bin are considered non-nettable. Inventory balances stored in non-nettable bins are not included in on-hand quantities, in MRP calculations, are not considered as a source of supply inventory for fulfillment processing in the Fulfillment Workbench, nor as source of supply inventory for the Replenishment Workbench.
  • Clear the check box if inventory balances stored in this warehouse bin are considered nettable. Currently when we moved to 10.2.700 we had the auto allocation templates and method’s customer written especially for us before the process was later put into epicor as standard on our custom code we have a condition where it only allocated stock against where houses that dont have prevent allocation ticked this is a UD field we added.
