Seriously, am I missing something. I schedule a BAQ Report, tell it to email, but it wants to print
every time it runs. How do I turn that off?

What does your APR routing look like on the report style?
I don’t have any, are you telling me I have to use APR just to not print? That’s completely ridiculous.
There are other ways but it is the most easy way to schedule a report to “email” instead of print.
If you don’t want to be a scheduled report you can use the email option when “printing” it if you’re using a SSRS report. Sorry, we’re still on Classic but I’m sure Kinetic has it somewhere.
