Is there a setting or a way to auto populate the material queue with the material needed for the first operation on a job without using get request?
We’d like for the material queue to be populated with raw materials needed for a cutting operation when a job is released rather than have the operator use a “get request” to request the next material needed.
Is this even possible?
You can use fulfillment workbench to release the parts to picking. The system should know based on your operation standards when you will need the parts. A risk is if your production gets behind and you don’t reschedule your jobs, parts will be delivered too early.

Do you happen to know if there’s a setting to change the “To Warehouse” and “To Bin” locations that the material defaults to after releasing for picking? The material is tied to a related operation on the job, and that operation’s resource groups have the correct in/out locations with automove unchecked, but it’s defaulting to an incorrect bin location.
