AMM - MES receiving

I wondered if that is what was happening, but I was not there to see
if the receiver clicked on the to location button.
Thank you

Looking for some help...I have two part numbers, neither are lot
controlled. When I receive one of them in MES receiving, the
part/quantity goes to the material queue to be moved to inventory...the
other one goes right to inventory. Going through the exact same
process with both. Why does one end up in the material queue and one
does not? Has anyone else experienced this? Am I overlooking
something?

Cindy
Maybe check the Resource Group setup associated with the last
operation for each part. There is an "Auto Move" check box with the
location. Here's the note from the Resource Group help file:

Auto Move
Select this check box to indicate that you want to create a material
queue record when completing work in this resource group.

Oh...sorry, I should have been more specific. When receiving parts
from a Purchase Order, one is going to the material queue and one is
going right to inventory. Any idea why this may be happening.

We are using the material queue on the barcode handheld. What we
have found is if you set the location when you receive, then a
material queue transactions is not generated. If you take the
default values, then a material queue entry is created.

This was good for us, because part of our warehouse receives directly
to the final location. We did not want a material queue entry in
that case.
