So we are currently about to work on UOM for converting to our 9 test database... after reading through the UOM destruction guide I just wanted to throw this out there..

We purchase all our plate steel in pounds and inventory it in square feet. The conversion factor is based on grade and thickness to get from pounds to square feet. My interpretation is that well have to go with 'other' in class type and make the UOM conversion part specific. Am I on the right track with this?
