I had one user with issues printing Packing Slips and PO’s this morning. Clearing their browser cache seemed to repair it.

Not sure if you’re using the browser in this case or not.

I had this from the little update the week before. Make sure they have access to the menu structure all the way down to it.

OH! This brought back a memory… I had one user a short while ago not able to get to AR Invoices… one of the recent updates blew out here home page widgets, and I had to re-create them. I’m trying to remember exactly what happened in that case. It was almost as if the menu path got changed and her widgets wouldn’t work for her.

I had this error on reports that I had created, which had worked fine in the past, until an update a couple of weeks ago.

In my case, we are using Classic apps and reports, but the menu entry is configured to think it has a Kinetic menu entry. So, when it tries to open the menu entry, it tries to open a Kinetic app, which fails because one hasn’t been set up, and so the error appears, which incorrectly looks like a security error.

I had to open a case with Epicor to figure this out.

If this is your scenario:

  1. Go into Menu Maintenance.
  2. Choose to use Kinetic version of Menu Maintenance.
  3. Navigate to, and select, the problematic menu entry.
  4. In the detail view of the menu entry, uncheck “Use Kinetic” (at right).
  5. Save menu entry.
  6. Exit Epicor.
  7. Start Epicor.

I’m not on 2024, but this was a thing in the past:

Sorry, yes, I believe you and understand that this is a different animal this time.

I was posting that more for context.

Yeah if you’re seeing this as a security manager, this must be something different.
