Anyone got a BOM Cost report that DOES NOT SPLIT OUT COSTING ELEMENTS?

Anyone have a BOM cost report that doesn’t split out the costing elements and adheres to the flag in company maintenance?

What do you mean?

I thought that flag only pertained to booking inventory, not purchased/manufacturing costs. But reading the help it doesn’t mention that, but it does mention the cost calculations.

It does state that it’s only honored for jobs created after the switch was “flipped”. I’m betting that’s not what you’re seeing?

It’s honoring the split cost elements on the jobs no problem. And if you roll costs in the standard costing workbench it also honors that flag and does/does not split the elements based on the setting of the flag in company maintenance. HOWEVER, the BOM Cost report doesn’t honor the value of the flag, it always assumes split cost elements is true.

You finding other wise @jkane ?

No, I just was not sure what you meant.

So, you are saying that you have the Split Cost turned off at the Company level, but the BOM Cost report generates as if it were true?

Yup, exactly, that’s exactly what I am saying.

V8 to the rescue!!!

The BOM Cost report in 8 prints as if Split Cost were true, but we all know that functionality does not exist in 8.

Haha we finally turned off 8. Hey… while you’re in there… can you tell me if the issue material screen shows on hand quantity for the bin?

It does not.

Can you send me a screenshot?

I lied. Didn’t realize the part I picked was Lot Tracked. Once I entered a Lot, the quantity in the bin appeared.

What about those that were not lot tracked?

So there is a qty on hand for issuing materials?

Not transferring materials, issuing.

nah I thought the SAME exact thing.

Same thing, the On Hand quantity for that bin shows.
